In hospitality design, the bar is more than a functional surface, it’s the focal point. It sets the tone, anchors the space, and becomes the place guests naturally gather. When Rockwell Group approached us for their renovation of the W Union Square hotel in New York City, the vision was clear: create a bar that feels both timeless and tactile, rooted in tradition yet refined for a modern dining experience.

At the heart of this project is a custom zinc bar top, designed and fabricated to elevate both the aesthetic and performance of the space.

In some of the most compelling hospitality interiors, material choice drives experience.

This project required precision from concept to install. Luxury Interior designers and architects trust La Bastille time and time again because of this very reason: our relentless effort to give our clients the best experience possible, our uncompromising nature when it comes to product integrity, quality, and craftsmanship, and obsession over every last detail. Each section of the zinc bar was fabricated to fit seamlessly within the existing architecture, ensuring clean lines and continuity throughout the space.
